Looking Back at the Project The Christmas Elf

The Erasmus+ project The Christmas Elf (Education. Life. Facilitation), which took place from 3 to 11 December 2025, has successfully come to an end. The project focused on non-formal education, facilitation, and youth social development, bringing together young people eager to learn, share, and grow through practice-based learning.

During the project, participants were introduced to interactive methods and practical tools for youth work, with a strong emphasis on hands-on experience. They developed key skills in non-formal education and facilitation. Learnt how to use experiential and interactive approaches that encourage active participation and more. The programme also provided practical tools for designing inclusive, creative, and meaningful activities aimed at cooperation and personal development. Throughout the course, participants had the opportunity to practice leading educational activities in a safe and supportive environment.

Eliška and her experience

According to Eliška, “this week, our Erasmus+ project felt a bit like stepping into a world filled with Christmas magic.” She explained that the sessions helped participants understand facilitation better and highlighted that “I learned how important it is to create a safe and open space where everyone feels comfortable to share their voice.” She also reflected on the approach of the trainers, saying that “facilitation isn’t just about leading, it’s about listening, understanding group dynamics, and supporting others so they can shine.” Thanks to practical activities and teamwork, Eliška shared that “I also gained more confidence in speaking in front of a group and managing tasks together with others.”

Looking back at the overall experience, she had only positive feedback “this project gave me new skills, new friendships, and memories that I’ll carry with me for a long time.”
